Annual Golf Social Raises Funds for AMFA-ET

The 8th annual golf event, held June 21 at Wendigo Golf Club in Grand Rapids, was a financial and networking success.  The weather cooperated beautifully.  Thank you to all who participated!

Scholarship Award Information:

How are the awards granted?
The scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in programs that lead to careers in fabricating, manufacturing, and related industries and have successfully completed one (1) semester.

The Trust scholarship awards are gifts, not loans, to individuals pursuing a course of study in fabricating, manufacturing, and related industries. The primary requirements of the scholarship are:

  • Enrollment in a college or technical college program related to fabricating, manufacturing, and related industries.
  • Maintenance of at least a "C" grade point average.

There will be no restriction on eligible recipients based on race, creed, gender, national origin or employment status.

How much is awarded each student?
The scholarship awards are in amounts up to $1,000 at the discretion of the board. The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based upon the amount of dollars in the Trust. The payments are made to the student and the educational facility.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible to compete for a scholarship award, a student must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Applicant must have successfully completed one (1) semester.
  • Applicant must be committed to a career in fabricating, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Applicant must obtain at least a 2.0 grade point average.
  • Recipients are eligible to reapply annually.
